Jihane J Hajj, DrNP, ACNP-BC

is a nurse practitioner in the preventive cardiology clinic at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Widener University. Dr. Hajj spends part of her time caring for inpatients with various cardiovascular diseases, and the other part of her time in the outpatient cardiology office.  In primary prevention, her clinical interests involve more accurately assessing cardiovascular risk, especially in patients with a family history of heart disease or unique risk factors such as radiation therapy. In both primary and secondary prevention, Dr. Hajj focuses on reducing all modifiable risk factors of heart attacks and strokes, including cholesterol disorders, hypertension and diabetes.  Dr. Hajj was awarded this year a fellowship for leadership training at Duke University and her project centers around exploring the provider’s management of subclinical atherosclerosis.
